i gave a talk today as part of the beyondsf event

all because i'm really really bad at responding to my dms

and obviously i wasn't invited because of being terrible at responding, but it is a big reason behind why i choose to do talks like these

because getting to help teach others everything i've learned about linkedin and personal branding is genuinely one of my favourite things in the world

(seriously- i keep a folder of all the dms from anyone saying i helped inspire them to start, that's how much it means to me)

and i try to pass along as much of it as i can in my posts, but a full talk always allows me to give so much more

and i get a lot of dms with questions about posting, or wanting to call to get my help on building up a personal brand

and while i really do try to answer as many as i can, i end up missing far too many

which is why it means so much to me when i get a chance to do a talk like this, because it finally allows me to answer all those questions at once
