i hit 2 million impressions

because of 9 good posts (out of 172)

now those top 9 posts didn't generate 2M on their own. but they did account for over one third of those impressions

and you can see that and assume that all of the other posts were failures

but the thing is, you don't get to those 9 without going through 163 'flops'

because every time a post 'fails', it gets me one step closer to being the person with the knowledge and skill and luck to write one of those 9 breakthrough posts

you just have to show up each day expecting to be wrong, but working hard enough to believe you'll eventually be right

and even if impressions don't always translate directly to follower growth, isn't there so much excitement in that?

because it means that, no matter where you are today, you can be just one good post away from changing everything

but the only way to find out is to just hit post
