i got a job because of linkedin
(but not by using the apply feature)
178 days ago, i started posting on here. over 2M impressions and almost 7k of you later, that one decision has completely changed my life
but here's the (slightly unconventional) story of how it led to where i'm working now:
in february (about 2 months into my posting journey), i was sending cold DMs to founders i wanted to have on The Seen
one of those founders was Troy Munson
we recorded an episode together (that was pretty banger if i do say so myself) and he later connected me to Brian Hamor
i recorded an ep with brian (coming out in july!) and, after the podcast, we got to talking
a few days later, he mentioned that his company BuyerExperience was looking for someone in branding/marketing
the next week, we jumped on another call
... and now i'll be helping generate leads through (you guessed it) organic linkedin growth
but none of this would have happened if i'd never decided to start posting on here (and to stick with it no matter how many posts failed or how many people told me it was embarrassing)
so if you're still waiting for a sign to start- please let this be it
you might just go and change your life
(and such a massive thank you to troy and brian, so grateful for everything!!)
