i called a linkedin creator with over 400k followers

and asked him about repeating posts

because having written over 270 posts now, there are days where i sometimes feel like i have nothing truly original to add

and he told me... that he recycles posts all the time

in fact, there are 4 posts he keeps re-doing every few months. for the past 6 years.

and every single time, they go viral

because firstly, his audience is constantly growing, and those same stories can keep adding value to new readers. and secondly, that original audience is likely to have forgotten the original post anyways

but there's an important note here- he never just directly copy and pastes them

instead, he'll constantly test small changes- a new image, a new format, a new hook-

basically taking that same story and re-packaging it as many times as possible, each time learning more and more about this platform and what works

which has COMPLETELY changed the way i think about my own content now

because rather than having almost 300 used up stories on my profile, i now like to think of it as a vault of ideas that can be re-purposed and re-tested at any time

and i will actually be sharing the recording to this conversation in the next few months on The Seen (sorry guys i know i've been reallyyy bad at releasing regularly but i promise this one is worth the wait)
